Return Window

We accept returns on eligible items within 14 days of delivery (the date you receive your order), in line with UK distance selling regulations.

If you’ve changed your mind, that’s absolutely fine — provided the item meets the conditions outlined below.


Product Eligibility

Hand-Painted Editions (Non-Returnable)

Hand-painted T-shirts are non-returnable and non-refundable.

Each piece is painted individually to order and made specifically for you. As these are custom-made wearable art pieces, they cannot be resold.

Please check sizing carefully before ordering.
If you are unsure, we strongly recommend emailing hello@iampuerile.com before purchase — we’re happy to help you choose the correct fit.


Printed & Embellished Garments (Returnable)

Printed and embellished items may be returned within the 14-day return window, provided all return conditions are met.


Return Conditions

To be eligible for a refund, returned items must be:

  • In original condition
  • Unworn and unused
  • Free from stains, odours, hair, fur, makeup, deodorant, or damage
  • Returned with all original packaging, including tags, cards, and boxes

We include armpit sweat pads with every order to help protect the garment during try-on. Please use them — items showing signs of wear may be refused.

We reserve the right to decline a refund if returned items do not meet these conditions.


How to Start a Return

Before sending anything back, please contact us to request a return.
Once approved, we will email you the return address and instructions.

Returns sent without prior approval may not be accepted.


Return Shipping

  • Return shipping costs are the customer’s responsibility
  • We strongly recommend using a tracked service
  • Original shipping fees are non-refundable

International Returns

International customers are responsible for:

  • All return shipping costs
  • Ensuring the parcel is correctly packaged and tracked
  • Any customs documentation required for the item to return to the UK

Please note:

  • Customs duties, VAT, and import fees paid on delivery cannot be refunded
  • International shipping fees are non-refundable

Refused or Unclaimed International Deliveries

If an international order is refused, unclaimed, or returned to us due to unpaid customs duties or import fees:

  • A full refund will not be issued
  • We will deduct:
  • Original outbound shipping costs
  • Return shipping costs incurred
  • Any customs, duties, or handling fees charged to us
  • Any remaining balance will be refunded to the original payment method

Damaged or Defective Items

If your item arrives damaged or faulty, please contact us as soon as possible after delivery with clear photos of the issue.

We will assess the situation and offer an appropriate resolution in line with UK consumer rights.


Refund Processing

Once a return is approved and received:

  • Refunds are processed within 5–7 working days
  • Refunds are issued to the original payment method
  • International returns may take longer due to transit and customs clearance

We are a very small, two-person team creating each piece with care and intention. Returns are handled thoughtfully and fairly, and we truly appreciate your understanding and support of slow, artist-made fashion.
