Our Story

Hi, I’m Aimee — the artist behind I am Puerile.

I create wearable art: hand-painted originals and limited-edition graphic t-shirts, crafted slowly and thoughtfully in small batches. Every design begins as an original illustration — sketched by hand or digitally drawn — before being carefully printed or painted onto fabric.

Clothing is my canvas. I wanted my art to live beyond walls — to move, breathe, and become part of everyday life. When someone wears one of my pieces, they bring their own story and energy to it, giving the artwork a life of its own.

How each piece is made

Some garments are entirely hand-painted, a process that can take 8 to 14 hours per piece depending on the design. These originals are one of a kind — no two are ever the same.

Alongside them, I create printed editions based on my original drawings. They’re produced in small runs, allowing more people to wear the art while keeping the same character and intention behind each design.

Every piece is made with care, longevity, and wearability in mind — not fast fashion, not mass-produced.

A small studio, made by two people

I am Puerile is a two-person studio. My partner and I handle everything ourselves — from creating and printing the garments to preparing the packaging, tags, and finishing details.

While I’m the visible voice of the brand, he works behind the scenes with precision and consistency, ensuring each order is finished with care. His presence may be quiet, but it’s stitched into every detail.

Why “Puerile”?

The word puerile means childish — and I embrace it.

To me, it represents curiosity, playfulness, imagination, and the freedom to create without overthinking. In a world that moves fast and takes itself seriously, I believe in slowing down and leaving room for creativity and joy.

With Latin roots and similar pronunciations across several languages, puerile also reflects my love of connection — art that travels easily, just like ideas and stories do.

I am Puerile isn’t just about clothing.
It’s about wearing something personal, playful, and made with intention.

Life’s too short to be so serious.
Let’s be puerile.
